Marcus Trollmann, Owner and Founder of Phoenix Uplighting
I was born and raised in Hamburg Germany, grew up in Venice Italy, of course I’m multilingual.
At the early age of 10 I started playing my 45's on a plastic turntable in my grandmothers front yard and quickly it became my passion and later my career. I love music and deejaying, while making everybody get up, SING & DANCE!!!
In my late teens I became an exchange student in Colorado Springs. It was there where I graduated from high school and attended college. I studied TV production, Radio Broadcasting & Foreign Languages.
Then things became serious, I met a girl named Rhonda, my music mentor and love of my life!
How could I not marry her!
I pursued my DJ career and had my breakthrough in London, U.K. where as the resident DJ of Club Limelight I had the honor to share my dj booth with the legendary Paul Oakenfold.
My career really took off in Italy in the early 90's when I started playing music at some of the most beautiful nightclubs right outside the city of Venice. My college broadcasting studies finally paid off as I landed a weekly gig at a local radio station.
In 1994, I moved to Phoenix where I became a mobile DJ specializing in weddings and corporate events.
Knowing the entertainment industry inside and out I recognized the current trend towards ambient lighting and visual entertainment and knew I needed to add these services to my entertainment packages!
Overnight I became the new "Lighting Professor" and from there Phoenix Uplighting was born!
